This one is tough, y’all. Maybe the hardest episode of this challenge. Because the war on DEI is real.
I’ve spent nearly 15 years fighting for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace – and now, I’m watching so much of that work be dismantled.
I’m watching DEI professionals lose their jobs. I’m seeing our progress labeled as a threat. I’m hearing people say DEI means “Didn’t Earn It”—as if Black and marginalized professionals haven’t always had to work twice as hard for half as much.
But this is not the end. This is the dying gasp of a system that knows its time is up. This is exactly the fight we’ve been preparing for.
We have to keep applying pressure. Keep the receipts. Keep filing the complaints. Keep telling the stories. Keep doing what we know works. Because the ops are counting on our silence. And we are not going to give them that satisfaction.
